Show us ‘what the Library means to you’ by designing your very own bookmark.
The competition is separated into three categories:
- Primary (5 – 12 year olds)
- Secondary (13 – 17 year olds)
- Adult (18 – 99 year olds)
One winner from each category will be chosen to have their bookmark design professionally printed and distributed to the nine library branches in our region.

The competition opens Monday 25 July and closes Wednesday 31 August 2022.
Turn on your imagination, harness your creativity and design your artwork.
Submit your entry online using the form below, or in person at your local branch.
Please refer to the competition template for exact sizing.
Entries that are not within these dimensions may be eliminated.
Any 2D media can be used.
Drawing, Painting, Graphic Design, Photography…The only limit is your creativity!
The competition is open to Western Downs residents aged between 5 – 99; separated into 3 categories:
- Primary : 5 – 12
- Secondary : 13 – 17
- Adults : 18 – 99
The competition is not open to professional graphic designers or businesses.
If you do not live, work or study in the Western Downs Region you cannot enter the competition.
A finalist from each category will be chosen, their artworks will be professionally printed on bookmarks and distributed to all nine branches in our region.
You are welcome to include your social media handle in the design.
Yes, however you will only be able to win one prize.
- Trademarks, brands, logos or copyrighted images.
- Content that is defamatory, offensive or vulgar.
