Welcome to February!

So, Christmas is over, school is back, and we have lots of bills, New Years resolutions are forgotten by February or just too hard to fulfill and we have all indulged too much – judging by the fit of our clothes that is. Trying to get in the groove of normal life after holidays can be a real struggle.

We may need some help in all areas, so we don’t get bogged down in February. Whether it be:

  • Starting a budget and stick to it
  • Doing an exercise program with your kids or a friend so you will motivate each other
  • Eating healthier and meal planning to save money

There are a lot of books and apps out there to help. Whether for exercise, diet, organisational skills, or budget, the library has you covered with resources including:

CSIRO’s Protein Plus – Nutrition and Exercise Plan

15 Minutes to Happiness by Richard Nicholls

Your Weight is not the Problem by Lyndi Cohen

I didn’t realise that ‘The Barefoot Investor‘ – Scott Pape has written a book specifically for kids ‘Barefoot Kids‘, he has also one just for Families, as well as his original book.

So, what else can we do to make all this and more achievable for 2025? I know I need to get more organised to get over the February blues, even if it’s just to allocate the time to read a really good book and eat chocolate.

Come and visit your local library and make use of our many helpful resources to make your 2025 one to remember.
