Storytime in the museum
Children from Meandarra State School enjoyed a special storytime in the museum last week. The children were excited to listen to stories in the Meandarra ANZAC Memorial Museum, and especially enjoyed listening to ‘The Library Toy Troop in a stuffed toy sleepover’, where the stuffed toys meet new friends and have an exciting overnight adventure in the library and the museum. We were very lucky to also have the museum’s volunteer coordinator, Pat McNamara, read the stories to the children and then provide a special guided tour. The children were able to see where the stuffed toys from the story had their adventure, while enjoying the amazing museum collection close up!
