Speed Read “One More Time”

Chris from Wandoan Library took some time during September to read One More Time, a novel by Australian author, Mandy Magro. Here is Chris’ review –
From and early age Grace Burrows dreamt of owning her own tea house – love, marriage and four children doesn’t stop her from achieving that dream.
Grace and Charlie Wilson, were both very young when they married. Charlie’s return from war and the loss of members of his platoon when they where ambushed, bought on nightmares. The life they had planned didn’t go smoothly at all. Alcohol drowned out some of the memories, but when Charlie decided to go back into the war zone to look for his best mates body so his widow had closure – it really put pressure on the marriage. Charlie disappeared for a number of years, returning only to be living on the streets and destitute.
Grace carried on her business running her tea house, and raising the children. Her affections turned to another man, but her heart belonged to Charlie. The family had orgainsed a 70th Birthday party for Grace, she felt it was time to disclose a secret she had held close to her heart for most of her life.
