Celebrating Adult Learners Week
An international celebration of life-long learning, Adult Learners Week (1-8 September) aims to highlight the importance of adult learning, to celebrate achievements, and inspire more people to discover how learning can positively change their lives.
As part of Adult Learners Week, on Friday 3 September, Chinchilla Library held a Kokedama Workshop. A style of Japanese bonsai, kokedama roughly translates to English as “moss” (koke) “ball” (dama). In this hands-on workshop, attendees learned how to wrap a plant’s root system, and bind it with string — transforming it into a sculptural art form to take home.
