Author spotlight – Gillian Wells
Author spotlight on Gillian Wells, Australian fiction author of five novels.
Gillian Wells is an English woman living in rural Australia with her husband and cattle dog Jess. She loves writing and also enjoys gardening, cooking, horse-riding and singing, among other interests. Gillian has travelled widely in Australia and enjoys meeting new people and hearing their stories. She has three children and four grandchildren living in England, France and Australia, who she loves to spend time with as much as distances and time allow.

Alone
Inspired by the true story of one Western Downs family.
Living alone on a cattle property after the death of her husband, Rachel is left to deal with the return of her violent and estranged son, the appearance of a body on the property, and a new friendship with a charming local police officer.
Families
Tom and Katie run a successful garden centre. Katie’s mother has early onset dementia and is confused, so decides to move in with them. Tom feels left out, as does their daughter Sally. When Tom is flattered by a beautiful girl who works for them, consequences are dire. Sally too has problems and increasingly, it looks as if the family may be blown apart. Will they overcome their difficulties and survive, and will it be the same as before?

Sam is in her mid-20s. Horses are her life, but she has a secret… and to that end, she goes to Australia hoping to escape from her emotional baggage. There she travels both physically and emotionally and life is looking better. She meets a man who also has emotional problems and they start to heal each other until Sam’s past catches up with her and life looks worse to her than before.
