Eagle Readers is a three month program for young children to improve their reading skills and encourage a love of literacy.
The annual Eagle Readers program runs from 1 April to 30 June.
The program consists of two groups: Eaglets for 0-5 years and Eagles for 5 years and over.
How can you participate?
- Call or visit your local library to register and collect your Eagle Readers booklet
- Read four books each month and record in your booklet
- Visit your local library at least once a month to have your booklet signed by a staff member
- CELEBRATE! Complete the challenge and celebrate with your local library.
All books must be of an appropriate literacy level and can be of the child’s choice. Children who are not yet reading independently may be read to by another reader.
