Prehistoric World: Ichthyosaur

You’re an amazing educator, but have you ever wished you could whip out a dinosaur bone to add a little bit more pizzazz to your classroom lessons? You should see if there’s a Museum Kit for that!

Tara Library is the regional depot for the Qld Museum‘s Learning Resource Kits. Teachers and parents can reserve a Qld Museum Kit and borrow it from any Western Downs Libraries branch – for free. The kits are a great way to add some “hands-on” to your lessons to help children engage more with a topic.

What’s in a kit

Museum kits come with a range of artefacts, specimens, models, and learning resources. Each kit has curriculum links and teaching notes. Museum kits cover a range of subjects, including History, Culture, Biodiversity, Physics, and Technology.

The Qld Museum also has a range of online resources freely available including videos, podcasts, and downloadable learning resources.
